SoftRAID Lite is a replacement for Apple's Disk Utility RAID. SoftRAID Lite is based the full SoftRAID engine, with the only limitations being that SoftRAID Lite supports only RAID levels 0 (stripe) and 1 (Mirror) volumes, and does not have email notification or the command line interface. Tecchnical support for SoftRAID Lite is available on the SoftRAID forum. SoftRAID Lite also provides "predictive disk failure", where users are alerted to potential disk failures even before they fail. SoftRAID Lite allows you to create and manage disk arrays to increase performance and reliability.
