I don't know you -- why would I trust you? With the Mac App Store, there's a reasonable expectation that I'm not downloading malware. If one of my family members who aren't tech experts want to buy app -- what assurances does anyone have that they aren't downloading crapware? I am not saying that off-store products are bad -- I use plenty; however for the great majority of users, the App Store provides security, convinience and ease of updates that just don't compare to dealing direct with some unknown developer. Again, remember do the same with the …disk[1-9]… as you did with the sleep script if your ‘magic number‘ is disk2. Bruce McL • Senior Member • Posts: 1,403 January 24, 2018 7:08 pm

alfred-jettison uses the keyword "jet" to safely eject or mount/remount external volumes. Eliminates "Improper ejection" Error Messages - I'm among the mass of Apple users who experience "Improper ejection" error messages almost every morning for my two external USB drives. Having followed this issue for over 2 years in various Apple Forum discussions, no one, including Apple, has come up with a solution for this irritating and sometimes drive damaging issue… until now. As some of you here have already reported, since installing Jettison, I have not seen the infamous "improper ejection" error message. Jettison does, automatically without any effort on my part, exactly what the developer says: "eliminates the hassle of manually ejecting external drives before you put your MacBook to sleep and remounting them when it wakes." By automatically unmounting my two external USB drives each night when my Macbook Pro goes to sleep, Jettison is eliminating the opportunity for Apple's flawed USB power management system to improperly eject my external drives. As soon as my computer wakes up, Jettison quickly remounts the external drives. And, most importantly, Jettison has NOT caused any conflict with my Time Machine backups or my SuperDuper clone backups (three of which are scheduled to run automatically at 1:00am every night). For me, this is another great utility app from St. Clair software. (Default Folder is another "must have" app from this developer) Heading to the relatives' place for a long stay? Easiest way is to use the app "RB App Checker Lite", and check if all the binaries in the app are sandboxed, and what permissions they have.
