So the OS puts up a little dialog window the first time that MailSteward tries to send some AppleScript to Mail, and asks the user if they are willing to permit MailSteward to control Mail. If the user says OK, everything is fine. If the user, for some reason, says No, then permission is not granted. If I exported those without “Export all subfolders” on, then I’d be saving “Work TO DO,” “TO KEEP,” and “Electronic Receipts,” but not the folders underneath them. Bad, bad, bad, wrong. I’m not sure why Apple made this choice—it’s not as if this saves a bunch of screen space or anything!—but as long as you’re aware of what you’re doing, everything should be OK. The right combo must be chosen, not only for the application itself, but also for any embedded projects within the main project, such as one I use in MailSteward called MailCore.
