That begs the question…
So, do you need a system maintenance utility?
All Apple users know that Macs are pretty self-sufficient devices. They normally have almost everything to protect, clean and maintain themselves. However, there are always things that can make even the perfect systems a bit better. Cleaning and maintaining apps are among such things. Today we want to drag your attention to the Yasu app. In the following review, you will learn what this app is for, how to use it, what features it brings, how much it costs and how to uninstall it. So, let’s go!
OS X runs its own built-in maintenance routines, sometimes called "cron jobs", or "maintenance scripts", automatically between 3:00 am and 5:30 am each day. (There are daily, weekly and monthly scripts).
HFS+ volumes get fragmented, but as of OSX 10.3 the system defrags on the fly, and uses hot-file clustering to speed disk performance. Accordingly, it generally isn’t worth de-fragmenting (and it often just makes things worse). If you must defragment, it’s usually worth running DiskWarrior both before and after a de-fragmentation operation.

I would very much appreciate hearing your suggestions. Update: The need to clear your destop has become controversial. Some folks claim that Apple has completely changed the way that things are represented on your desktop and that it no longer matters how many items are on your desktop. Others say that they still see a slowdown from having too many items on their desktop, and that clearing their desktop resolves the problem. it's hard to tell which is the truth, because no one has explained what the changes are, exactly, and Apple has no technical briefs saying that a change was made. From anecdotal evidence, I think that the situation is somewhere inbetween. I think that there is still some overhead required to put all of the icons on your destop, but that the performance hit isn't nearly what it once was. LIMITATIONS IN THE UNREGISTERED VERSIONNag screen --with-qt5 Since clean installation involves wiping your Mac’s main drive, it’s vital that you back it up immediately before you start. And since some of those files are junk, backing them up would be, well, unadvisable. So it’s usually a good idea to remove extra files before the backup with a Mac cleaner, like CleanMyMac. Run it and give your High Sierra a polish before clean installing Mojave.
