By default, there are no users enabled. Add a user by clicking Add User, then entering a username and password. The main video window can be resized to any shape and size by clicking and dragging in the bottom right hand corner. As you resize the window it will snap to optimum sizes that are best for the speed and quality of the display (hold the Command key on the keyboard while resizing the window to disable this snapping). Click the green button in the title bar of the window and the window will be automatically resized for optimum display. Every x Minutes/Hours/Days: a new movie file will be created at the frequency you specify. Whenever continuous-capture mode is disarmed and then armed, a new movie will also be created. Note that these public addresses may not work from within your network (this requires "loopback" in the router, which many do not support). To access your SecuritySpy server from within your network, use your Mac's LAN IP address instead. Search for any files or folders with the program’s name or developer’s name in the ~/Library/Preferences/, ~/Library/Application Support/ and ~/Library/Caches/ folders. Right click on those items and click Move to Trash to delete them. If the camera is sending any audio format except AAC, enable the Recompress audio data option under Preferences -> Cameras -> Device, and set AAC as the video compression under Preferences -> Compression.

Allow roughly 1 GB of storage space per camera per day when using H.264; 2 GB when using MPEG-4, and 10 GB when using JPEG. Use either an HDD or an SSD — not a Fusion drive (these don't perform well for continuous writing of significant amounts of data, which is what SecuritySpy does).
