I must say I'm very impressed. I thought Virtual Machines weren't recognized (cf. my previous post) but it was only a matter of deactivating an option in the preferences. I therefore correct my evaluation: this app rocks by all means and it undoubtedly deserves 5 stars. Also the developper's response is terrific.
And best of all, the older CDFinder and CDWinder versions use the exact same format, so you can use all four versions seamlessly together here!

Along the way, I did find a bunch of promising tools that supported all the formats I wanted. The only gotcha for these programs is they were good at handling 2,500 images, even 25,000 images. Feed half a million images into them and they melted into a pool of goo.
