Apply by June 8th Hi, unfortunately, no-one has had the time/inclination to implement that feature in the aqauterm driver in gnuplot. AquaTerm itself supports mouse/keyboard interaction, but AFAIK it is only implemented in PGPLOT. If you really need the mouse interacttion in gnuplot, you can always switch terminal using the 'set ' command. To change the default terminal, you can use the GNUTERM environment var, i.e. 'export GNUTERM=x11' Regards, Per On 4 dec 2008, at 20.31, Michael Goerz wrote: > Hi, > > I'm using gnuplot on a Mac, which utilizes aquaterm as display. > Being used to > Linux and the X11 terminal, I haven't been able to figure out how to > zoom with > the mouse in aquaterm, or do similar interactive tasks. [the following assumes a fink-installed pgplot] PGPLOT is a library of FORTRAN (libpgplot) routines that you can call from your code to bring up graphs of your data, i.e. pgplot is not a program in itself. There is also a C wrapper library called libcpgplot. That said, this is probably the simplest c-program that does something useful (in a file named 'caqtdemo.c'): // ----- begin caqtdemo.c --- #include "cpgplot.h" #include int main(void) { if (cpgopen("1/AQT")) { cpgpage(); cpgsvp(0.1, 0.9, 0.1, 0.9); cpgswin(0.0,1.0,0.0,1.0); cpgbox("BCGNTS",0.1,5,"BCGNTS",0.1,5); cpglab("x-label","y-label","title"); cpgclos(); } else { printf("Could not open AQT, exiting\n"); } return 0; } // ----- end caqtdemo.c --- to compile it, use (on a singe line of input) cc -g -I/sw/lib/pgplot -L/sw/lib -L/sw/lib/pgplot -L/usr/X11R6/lib -o caqtdemo caqtdemo.c -lcpgplot -lpgplot -lpng -lX11 -lg2c -framework Cocoa then issue ./caqtdemo to run it Main source of information on pgplot routines. also, look around in the source directory (especially in cpg/ for C info). Type gnutar xvzf /sw/src/ to unpack the sources if you haven't done it already. HTH, Per ASCII, Binary, MySQL and Perl based import filter Principally Plot2 Pro permits you to work with a number of paperwork the place each doc consists of a number of XY knowledge units (referred to as buffer in Plot). There’s additionally the flexibility so as to add subviews (plots inside plots) to your doc. A subview is totally unbiased with its personal knowledge buffers, graphic attributes, and so forth. A reader has contacted me asking for suggestions for alternatives to OriginLab that run on a Mac. Whilst you can run OriginLab under virtualisation there are many Data Analysis Packages that run under Mac OS X natively but I don't know enough about OriginLab to suggest which has similar capabilities. Any suggestions?
