Every time I update @FujitsuAmerica’s ScanSnap Home software, IT USES A LICENSING SLOT! Looks like I can only update 2 more times. Then I’ll replace it with an Epson or any other brand that doesn’t actively crap on their users. If you were on Windows, I'd tell you to delete the Vuescan folder then reinstall. Not sure if that would work on OSX or not. Vuescan works fine with my old scanner in High Sierra, but I can't find any info about whether Vuescan works with Mojave. Step 4. Click on Back to Interface button to re-scan currently installed apps. You can do some pretty amazing stuff with these tools. For example, here is a scan of a 30-year-old slide taken with (I think) GAF slide film, that is badly faded and color-shifted, as well as having dust spots. It looks pretty grotty, but it's a shot I'd like to save because it shows what the view from my front yard looked like in the early '70s, before there were power poles and telephone lines, and a lot of tree growth that's there now. Can adjust the colors of the image before scanning.

I actually have a MacBook Pro with a fried AMD card. I used the nvram command to turn off the card and tossed all the AMD kexts. The machine runs fine with its motherboard video (in Sierra). I'll have to try the Mojave install and see if all is well. I do have an SSD, not a spinner.
Ishan: I can confirm the ScanSnap iX500 works fine with Mojave. In fact, no update of any Fujitsu software was needed. The scanner works exactly the same for me both before and after my update to Mojave on Tuesday.

Buy it. I bought the pro version in 2010 and have never regretted it.
As you can see, VueScan have gone from the interface, which means you have entirely got rid of this app. The thorough removal completes in the few blinks of time.
