For a few months last year, however, a badly designed Office 365 update broke that macro and made it impossible for many users to access the old-style dialog. I also had several issues trying to download and install the software. Once you order from Amazon you're given a link to which will request you set up an account to install your software. Your key will be automatically linked to your Microsoft account , but if you click the "install office" link on the top right of your webpage it will say your Key "has already been used". The correct link to use is under "my account" then click "subscriptions & services". There you will have a down load link to install your product. This purchase was much more convoluted than it had to be and I regret even buying it.
A year ago, Microsoft said that after Jan. 14, 2020, only Windows 10 would be supported for running Office 365 ProPlus; that date is the head-to-assisted-living deadline for Windows 7. Windows 8.1 was also to fall off the ProPlus supported list, as was the Windows 10 LTSC (Long-term Servicing Channel) version.
